George Simons. With over 50 years’ experience in cross-cultural communication, negotiation and global management, George Simons has been internationally sought for his consulting and training expertise by petrochemical, hi-tech, manufacturing, finance, and consumer goods companies as well as by governments, NGOs, religious and educational organizations.


Holding a DMin in Psychology from Claremont Graduate School, he has authored eight instruments in the Cultural Detective® series and created or edited over 100 intercultural games in the diversophy® series of training instruments. His online collaborations resulted in books on EuroDiversity, Global Competence, Working Together, Putting Diversity to Work, Men & Women, Partners at Work, and Transcultural Leadership. He has coauthored The Questions of Diversity, The Cultural Diversity Fieldbook, The Cultural Diversity Sourcebook, and, most recently, Seven Ways to Lighten Your Life, as well as ten books of poetry.

A SIETAR member for over 30 years, he has served on its French and EU governing boards. He manages both personal and SIETAR LinkedIn and Facebook sites, which currently have over 20,000 members.

Often engaged in collaboration with Universities, he lectures and guides the development gamification expertise to assist in the acculturation of migrants into local communities, the workplace, and educational systems, and address current cultural and social issues.

Born in the USA, Dr. Simons has lived in Germany, The Netherlands, and currently resides in France. He has worked in over 60 countries and is fluent in English, German, French, and Spanish.
