Henning Zorn

Intercultural Trainer, Consultant and Coach

Hanning has over 30 years of experience as international consultant, trainer and coach, with working experience in all continents except Australia. In terms of themes, he focuses on leadership and (project) management, cross-border communication, collaboration and negotiation, team development and virtual teamwork, diversity and inclusion, global cooperation and personal growth (business) integrity.

Graduated as organisational anthropologist (MA) from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, and as a drama teacher at the Hogeschool Leeuwarden, he worked for KLM between 1986 and 1991 as researcher, developer and trainer. Between 1991 and 2000 he worked as senior cross-cultural management consultant at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), before he started working independently in 2000.

Accredited as Practitioner Coach, he is a member of the Dutch Association of Professional Coaches (NOBCO), the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC), the Global Coaches Network (GCN), SIETAR, the Society for Intercultural, Education, Training and Research and the CAP, the Coaching Academy Professionals.

Personal Vision

“We all seek and will find our belonging. Leadership is about creating the space for that belonging, so that followers can identify with a meaningful purpose and each other. As innovation and problem solving in our complex world come from multidisciplinary teams,
their success depends of the quality of their relationships. My efforts are directed to realize leadership- and team potential. I challenge beliefs and (unconscious) bias in order to open new horizons and set foot on unknown territory.”

Born and raised in Germany, he moved to The Netherlands in 1976. Married to a Mexican his family and he live mainly in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and, for a lesser part of the year, in Oaxaca, Mexico.He is fluent in English, Dutch, German and fair in Spanish.
